On behalf of the municipal council and our residents, I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the municipality of Fauquier-Strickland.

Situated along Highway 11 between the Towns of Kapuskasing and Smooth Rock Falls, we are recognized by our famous Groundhog River and surrounding lakes.  The Groundhog River is excellent for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and site seeing.  As you are passing through Fauquier, you will be glad you took the time and stopped to enjoy and appreciate our relaxing lifestyle and welcoming environment.

Fauquier-Strickland also has vast expanse of lands for hunting big and/or small game in autumn.  You will certainly not be disappointed by your trip to our communities during the hunting season.

We have numerous residents and tourists enjoying winter ice fishing and snowmobiling along the well maintained OFSC(Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) trails.

If you are looking to establish your family in Fauquier; Grégoire's Mill or Strickland, the municipality offers vacant residential lots available free of charge in order to build your residence.

For additional information please contact the municipal office at (705) 339-2521.

Please take a great look at our website which contains all the necessary information on our municipality.  We will be more than pleased to welcome and serve you in our community.
