12 volunteers are presently working at the library.
Books: French and English books for all ages. The library has approximately 13 000 books.
Audio Books: 710 audio books available.
Magazines: 23 types of magazines are available.
Inter library loan: If you don't find the books that you want, we can order them from other libraries with the VDX program.
DVD's : In French and English. The library has approximately 2595 DVD's.
Puzzles: Many puzzles are available and board games for children (There is also a kiddie's corner).
Local History: Book of Fauquier (Pro-Font)
Return Box: It is now possible to return your books and/or DVD's at the library when it is closed. Simply put your items carefully where it is indicated (on the north wall of the Community Centre).
The federal and provincial government are providing us with updated information about their politics, programs and studies.
Computers: 5 computers and 1 iPad are available for the public
Programs and Software Available: Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Print Artist, Pattern Maker, Easy Photo Print, Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Microsoft Picture It
Other Services: photocopier, photo impressions, advertisement signs, personalized business cards, High speed Internet- first hour is free, additional time is $1.00/hour (free for children attending school), Educative CD-ROM for kids, lamination service, (8.5 x 11 in. sheets and business cards) and scanner
You can borrow most of the books for a maximum of 1 month.
Daily fines are set at $0.10 per day for a maximum of $12.00 per items.
You can also borrow DVD and VHS for a period of 7 days. If the videos are not returned on the due date, there will be daily fines of $1.00 for each DVD's or videos for a maximum of $12.00.
Every person is responsible for the items they borrow and may also receive a fine in case of damage or the loss of an item.

The Community Centre is situated at 25 Grzela Road, Fauquier, Ontario, P0L 1G0. It is possible to rent the Community centre for numerous events.

Outdoor Skating Rink
The Outdoor Skating Rink facility is opened 7 days a week to the general public. You are able to practice your hockey skills or even just do a little public skating in your own municipality. The outdoor ice rink is located at 20 Doyon Street.

Saturday & Sunday: 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm

**Please note that the skating rink will be closed on December 24th at night, December 25th all day, December 31st at night and January 1st all day.

Watersnake Lake Public Beach
The municipality offers and maintains unsupervised public beach and a public boat launch on Watersnake Lake.
The Fauquier Beautification Committee was established in 2002. The committee's mandate is to advise the municipalities elected officials with concerns in regards to the beautification of the municipality. The mandate is also to develop policies in order to ensure the continuity of the beautification projects.
The Fauquier Park project has derived from the Fauquier Beautification Committee. It is now an excellent rest area. You will enjoy walking in our well maintained pathways. You can enjoy a picnic in our beautiful gazebo.
The Committee is also looking at expanding the park in the years to come.
Groundhog River Access
The Groundhog River Access is provided and maintained by the municipality of Fauquier-Strickland and is located at the end of Guevremont Street. It has ample parking space for all users.
For canoeist, kayakist, and others, you will enjoy a day in our park, use our restroom, and the arbour is at your disposal. Please check with our office for availability.
The Beautification Committee is looking at improving the Groundhog River Access in order to fulfill the needs of anglers and hunters and everyone who loves what our natural environment offers.
